Registered Veterinary Nurse required at Shore Vets, Gourock.

The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Registered Veterinary Nurse to provide an excellent level of customer and patient care to join us for an initial 6 month contract (with potential for extension). Whilst experience is desirable a newly graduated suitably competent nurse would also be considered for this post. The role includes all aspects of nursing including theatre, inpatient care, nurse consultations, administering anaesthetics, dispensing medicines and dealing with the clients both on the phone, by e-mail and face-to -face.

  • No out of hours
  • Occasional Saturday morning

 
About Us
We are a friendly, small animal first opinion practice with 5 vets (2 of which are full-time), 5 RVNs (all part-time except one), 1 ACA and 3 support staff located in a small coastal town with all the usual amenities. The practice is well equipped and newly refurbished. CPD is supported and actively encouraged within the team, one of our vets is a certificate holder in radiology and another has a special interest in pain management. The practice is friendly, with good communication among the staff with an active WhatsApp group and in normal circumstances there would be opportunities to meet outside of work to socialise.
 
Applicant requirements
The ideal candidate will be a Registered Veterinary Nurse with a great work ethic and excellent communication skills. However, we would also be willing to employ a newly qualified nurse who is looking to gain further experience in a supportive environment. The ability to work well in a team and have a passion for all aspects of general nursing are essential.
