Job Details

Stepping into the shoes of our RVN while she is on maternity leave, you will be a key member of our nursing team involved with all aspects of general nursing plus feline medicine referrals and CT imaging. Our nurses work closely with the vets and enjoy a varied workload ranging from nurse consultations through to schedule 3 procedures. The role is full time, 5 days per week including late and early shifts. Our Current rota includes working 1 weekend in 5, plus out of hours revisits to inpatients (at present 1 evening per week) but no on call.

We are a busy, two site, small animal, first opinion and feline referral practice in Sandbach, rural Cheshire. We have a varied and interesting caseload with most cases investigated and treated in house. We are well equipped with digital x-ray, ultrasound, and in-house lab. We have recently expanded our facilities to include a CT scanner at our Winterley practice.

We have a team of 9 veterinary surgeons (7 part-time) and 9 RVN's plus 2 trainees with a supportive reception and administration team. Advanced qualifications are encouraged and funded; we want all our employees to maximise their potential. RVN studies recently funded include anaesthesia and medical nursing. Two of our vets are certificate holders including Laura who runs our new feline referral clinic. We take a holistic approach to veterinary medicine using conventional treatments alongside alternative therapies including acupuncture.

We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse with post qualification experience who will fit in well with our team. We pride ourselves on excellent client care, so we are looking for someone who is client focused, with excellent communication skills both on the phone and face to face. We are looking for a team player who is adaptable to meet the changing needs of the practice.
