The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a lovely veterinary surgeon to join our team here at Raheny. You will be working in a fast-paced environment with a varied and interesting workload. We have great clients who are willing to work up cases. An average day will be either a consulting or surgical shift. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, have a good level of surgical skills and be great with clients. You will be supported by a team of experienced vets who are keen to teach and expand your knowledge further. Our heavy caseload means you will be exposed to a variety of cases and makes working at Raheny an ideal environment for improving specific skills and studying for certificates. CPD is strongly encouraged and funded.

  • Salary €50000-€60000 DOE
  • 4 weekdays
  • 1:3 weekends
  • No OOH

About Us
Raheny vet hospital has excellent facilities and is fully equipped with two surgical theatres, endoscopy, full orthopaedic kits, bloods and digital x-ray. The clinic is only 7km from Dublin city centre and is well serviced by all forms of transport. Our fantastic team consists of 8 vets and 8 nurses, where our culture is based on teamwork and patient care and that is the key to our success as a practice.
 
Applicant requirements
Our ideal candidate will preferably have post-graduate experience and be able to work independently and within a team. A good grasp of surgery is ideal but if surgery isn't your thing then that’s okay too! A friendly, outgoing personality with excellent communication skills and a passion to provide exceptional patient and client care is essential.

The hospital offers a complete range of veterinary services to cater for all clients’ needs. These include routine services such as vaccinations and neutering as well as coming to the rescue in emergency situations by providing full medical and surgical care when your pet is unwell.
