Job Details

We are currently looking to recruit two veterinary surgeons to join our continually growing team of 14 vets. We like to say we are a growing family of professionals who pride ourselves on high standards. These are new roles for experienced vets to assist the clinical directors by leading the veterinary teams at Chesham and Chalfont St Giles centres. The role includes monthly catch ups one to one with the team, a position at Head of Department meetings and Clinical Head of Department meetings as well as working with the Head Nurse and the running of the day to day practice. The current rota would be 4.5 days Monday - Friday with a 1:7 full Weekends and 1:7 Friday late shift plus Saturday morning. The evening on call is currently only until 9pm Mon – Fri then is covered by an external out of hours provider. Saturday and Sunday are covered by an external out of hours provider when the practice closes at 5pm and 4pm respectively. The rota is open to discussion for the right candidate.

We are a fully equipped and modernised RCVS accredited practice striving to achieve the highest standard of care in South Buckinghamshire. We have surgeries in Chesham, Chalfont St Giles, Amersham and Beaconsfield. We have a committed clinical team with many vets and nurses holding or engaged in postgraduate qualifications as the practice combines first opinion with an internal referral service. Responsibility and specialism are strongly encouraged in order to develop further opportunities and skills to the practice.

The successful candidate will need several years’ experience of small animal medicine and surgery, be someone who enjoys working as part of a supportive team, be a certificate holder or have interest in pursuing one, be forward thinking in their clinical approach and have good communication skills. Our ideal candidate would be enthusiastic about practicing a high standard of patient and customer care and who would like to be an integral part of an ever-growing practice.
