Job Details

Our South Yorkshire Hospital based client have a vacancy for an experienced veterinary surgeon following the growth and expansion of their new surgery.

The Team is made up of 6 vets, including the co-founder and Clinical Director who has an interest in emergency work and orthopaedics, plus 8 nurses and 2 ANA's. Between them the team have interests in: soft tissue surgery, Orthopaedic surgery, imaging, medicine, ECC and feline medicine.

This role will suit a medically biased vet, ideally with a certificate or part way through a certificate who is looking for a role with excellent career progression towards Clinical Director. This role will generally be wholly medical, it is however important that all applicants are comfortable with routine soft tissue surgery as there may be a rare occasion to step in 

This is a full time role with no OOH's and the weekend rota is 1:6 Full weekends, however there will be 1:6 weekend work with 8hrs on a Sat and 5hrs on a Sunday but with a full day off on the week following the long weekend. There is also an addition 2 hour shift on a 1:6 Saturday morning.  Our client can work around a 4 day week, or 5 day week.

Ultrasound with colour doppler
Flexible endoscopy
2 ops theatres
Electosurgery
Capnography
Piped oxygen
Autoclavable oscillating saw
Orthopaedic drill
