The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the Pride Veterinary Centre team. This position possibly has the most variety of all our hospital nurse roles as it requires wards to be covered in addition to our theatre/prep area. This role would suit a confident person who likes to be part of an extended team, ensuring all our animals get the optimum care available. No two days are the same, so a flexible, positive approach is essential. There will be some requirement to work twilight shifts plus 1 weekend in 6 (but lieu time will be given the following week). Whilst primarily first opinion based in theatre/prep you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of first opinion and referral cases in wards, which is a key bonus of this role.
About Us
Pride Veterinary Centre offers a range of state-of-the-art equipment and facilities. Our diagnostics and treatment are second to none and we have many highly trained and experienced nurses to ensure that our patients receive the very best treatment. We offer both primary care and a specialist-led referral service in a range of disciplines, and due to an increasing caseload, we are able to offer exciting nursing opportunities. Each case is interesting and varied, and should you wish to work in our hospital, referral experience is not essential as we welcome the opportunity to provide training for the perfect candidates. What we do ask for is enthusiasm, an excellent work ethic, team spirit and a passion for clinical excellence.
The team are hardworking, supportive of each other and always go the extra mile. Tasks are varied and numerous, so our nurses communicate well and often, to ensure all duties are completed. The prep area is usually a busy area and when our wards are busy too, the day can go very quickly.
