An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our Little Hadham practice on a 6 month fixed term contract with the possibility of extending to 9 months to cover maternity leave.

We are seeking a Vet who has a passion to practice veterinary medicine to a high standard. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 years' UK small animal practice (or UK equivalent) experience in small animal practice. The role will involve consulting, routine surgery as well as taking part in the on-call rota - average 2 weeks for the duration of the contract.

As qualified MRCVS, you’ll already have good experience gained in small animal practice. You will be competent in clinical examination and surgery and confident working sole charge or as part of the wider team. This role works to a 4-day week rota with 1 in 6 full weekends.

Salary & Benefits:

Competitive salary package dependent on experience, to include on a pro rata basis:
-Basic salary £32,000 - £55,000 per annum  
-£10,200 accommodation allowance per annum
-Vehicle or £2,500 vehicle allowance per annum
-£1,500 CPD allowance with 3 days CPD leave per annum
-VDS, RCVS, BVA fees paid per annum
-5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays per annum

Medivet Little Hadham is an established practice led by Branch Partner Joe, who is also a RCVS advanced practitioner in small animal surgery. Located in the countryside near Ware and Bishop's Stortford, the practice is situated on the A120 just outside the village of Little Hadham in a lovely rural location.

The practice is excellently equipped with in-house laboratory, digital x-ray, dentistry facilities, dental x-ray, orthopaedic theatre and much more! We offer our patients a wide variety of elective and emergency surgeries in-house, including orthopaedic operations and keyhole surgery.
