We have a great opportunity in our Wrexham clinic for an experienced Vet Surgeon to join the team. Vets Now Wrexham has a growing steady caseload so you can really work up your cases. You will work an average of 40 hours per week which equates to around 12 shifts per month. The rota pattern will contain a mix of weekday nights, weekends and bank holidays.

Alongside support from our experienced team, we can also offer a place on AdvantEdge - a two-week enhanced ECC programme for experienced Vets. AdvantEdge is aimed at Vets with at least two years UK small animal or mixed practice experience who want to top-up their emergency medical and surgical knowledge. It’s also a great opportunity to expand your support network of emergency clinicians throughout the UK.

Enhance your emergency knowledge

The lectures on AdvantEdge are delivered virtually by diplomats in ECC, Internal Medicine and Surgery as well as experienced emergency clinicians. The programme also features mentored shifts in your clinic – an ideal opportunity to work alongside an experienced emergency Vet before you take on sole charge responsibilities. Topics covered include blood gas analysis, neurological emergencies and toxicology as well as practical sessions such as CPR, blood smears, ultrasound and surgery.
