Export Veterinary Officer - Ashford, Kent

Completion and verification of export health certificates (EHC) for products of animal origin (POAO) prior to export to Gibralta working on behalf of a major food retailer assisting in the transition of the UK to BREXIT. The position involves working as part of a team working alongside one other full time vet with supporting part time vets to provide holiday cover. Bank holidays are on a rota in line with Spanish/Gibralta border control.

We are a long established practice, principally small animal, and have a long relationship with the food industry providing export services to various suppliers and retailers. The position is conveniently located in North Kent with excellent access to the major freight routes to and from Europe. You will be part of an experienced team with excellent support as well as the benefits of belonging to the IVC family.

OV status with product export panels but this is not mandatory and all necessary training will be provided. You will be RCVS registered and eligible to gain OV status. No previous experience is required. The position would ideally suit a veterinarian with experience in the meat hygiene sector or other similar food industry experience.
