Our busy practice provides exposure to a varied caseload to support both GPs and those wishing to develop areas of interest further including certificate holders.
We are located within the beautiful coastal areas of Swansea and Llanelli being close to Gower and Pembrey. Award winning beaches are on our doorstep.
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced, full-time, small animal veterinary surgeon with a keen interest in surgery to join our supportive, developing team of both experienced, including certificate holders and newly graduated vets. The candidate will also be working alongside an experienced team of qualified nurses and attentive receptionists. The role provides a varied workload of both medical and surgical cases. The candidate would work a 4 day week of 38 hours within our main branch. 1:6 Saturday mornings are required. There are no OOHs and 5 weeks holiday per annum is allocated exclusive of bank holidays.
Our main branch is due to begin a phase of expansion in March 2021 and so this is an exciting time to become part of our team where the contribution of ideas to its future success is warmly welcomed.
CPD is vital for self-growth and is encouraged. Any CPD, including certifications are fully funded when mutually beneficial with time off in lieu allocated where appropriate. The continued growth and development within our practice brings with it future opportunities to pursue a more senior role for the right candidate.
A candidate with a proactive, forward thinking nature is sought to work as a dedicated part of our team. An empathetic nature with a strong work ethic is desired. They will demonstrate a high level of enthusiasm as the practice develops in 2021. Our ideal candidate will be comfortable with all routine surgery and consulting having gained adequate experience within the UK. A keen interest in surgery is essential in addition to surgical competency to allow effective management of such cases alongside other vets to support business growth. Excellent communication and prioritisation skills are essential. The candidate will fit into our team well, forming positive relationships with all members.
