As qualified MRCVS, you’ll already be an experienced Night Vet or have experience within ECC, and you are dedicated to delivering outstanding emergency and critical care to your patients. Here, you’ll be excited about the bigger development opportunities on offer, alongside an excellent work life balance that includes working 26 weeks of the year on a 7 nights on, 7 nights off rota.

We will also consider part-time applicants on a 7 nights on, 21 nights off rota (salary package will be prorated accordingly).

The successful candidate will be responsible for dealing with all out-of-hours care within both the hospital and patients from the surrounding Medivet clinics. Typically, the case load involves in-patient care as well as emergencies arising overnight. Here, you will work alongside a dedicated night nurse, as well as having on-call vets and nurses available should you require additional support during your shift.

Skills and experience:

The successful candidate will need a minimum of one year's UK small animal practice (or UK equivalent) experience and have a passion for emergency and critical care. 

Salary & Benefits

A very competitive package of up to £60,000 per annum (depending on experience), which includes accommodation allowance and a vehicle or vehicle allowance. 

Attractive 7 nights on 7 nights off shift pattern

£1,500 CPD allowance with 2 days’ CPD leave per annum and in-house CPD training

VDS, RCVS and BVA fees paid

We can also support Certificates of Sponsorship for a Tier 2 (General) Visa if you meet the criteria and are eligible to register as a veterinary surgeon with the RCVS upon arrival in the UK.
