Head Veterinary Nurse - Head RVN London Hospital

Due to expansion, a rewarding career opportunity has arisen for a second Head Nurse to lead the nursing team at our busy small animal RCVS accredited 24h hospital in Wanstead, East London.

Key responsibilities: This would be a fully supported opportunity to advance existing line-management or senior nurse skills and would suit an experienced RVN with ECC experience and excellent clinical skills. The role would suit an RVN looking to take a step away from clinical work to further develop existing leadership and management skills. As a guide, we expect this role to be roughly 50:50 clinical (general nursing duties/ hospital floor coordination) and team support and administration. You will report to our Nursing Manager and work closely with our senior nursing team to ensure fulfilment of our philosophy of practising to the highest clinical standards and providing great client care.

The successful candidate will be capable of mature decision making whilst working in an ever-changing environment. We are looking for an exceptional individual with excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to motivate a highly skilled team of RVNs, SVNs and VNAs.

• Previous hospital or referral centre experience and clinical coach experience is essential, as is experience in a senior role and supervision of a team.
• This is a 40-hour per week position (Mon-Fri) with no rota’d weekends or on-calls.
