Full Time Registered Veterinary Nurse – Surrey

My client is currently looking for a full time RVN to join their team of 3 vets, 2 RVNs, 3 SVNs and 1 VCA in this Surrey practice.

The role is varied with a number of different shift patterns depending on the area of work you are on the rota for. These areas include kennel shifts, prep, theatre, support, night and weekends.

The night shifts are a “sleep in” sole charge shift which are paid from 4pm-midnight, then 6am-11:30am. If there are any inpatients that you have to attend too overnight this can be put down as overtime. The duty vet will hold the phone from 8pm-7:30am and will call you prior to arriving at the practice if they have an emergency coming in. For every night shift worked there is a £25 bonus.

Similarly, with the night shift, the weekends are also “sleep in” where consults take place between 9am-12pm then again from 4pm-6pm on the Saturday then from 6pm the line goes to emergency only until Monday morning. The Friday prior to your weekend you will either have a half or full day off, and once you finish on Monday morning you have the whole week off including the following weekend, which is all paid, plus the 2 x £25 bonus for the weekend shifts. The time off for that week does not come out of your holiday allowance and is additional. The weekend rota is 1 in 6.

The salary for this position starts at £22,000 per annum.
