We have lots of great roles for those who share our values
Due to one of our lovely vets leaving us to complete an internship we have a very exciting opportunity for a veterinary surgeon to join the Beckenham hospital team.
Based in the leafy and sought after Beckenham area in South East London, the practice is a 5 minute walk from Beckenham junction train and tram station with great links to central London and with many cafes and brunch spots close by.
There is a very interesting and varied caseload, ideal for someone wanting to, or currently studying towards a post graduate certificate. Certificate study is encouraged and supported. You will work alongside veterinary surgeons with a range of interests- including- imaging, surgery, medicine and ECC. You will have the opportunity to developing in a busy but supportive environment.
The successful candidate will have exceptional communication
skills, work well within a large, fast paced team but have the
ability to manage their caseload independently. You will be
confident with all routine surgical and medical cases and ideally
have a medicine bias. Ultrasonography skills would be
advantageous.
The role will suit someone with at least 3 years UK (or UK
equivalent) experience and someone wanting to practice to a really
high standard.
The role will be 4-days a week with a one in six weekend rota, and the rota will allow for a balance of consulting, wards and operating shifts.
The recently refurbished hospital is very well equipped-
benefiting from ultrasonography with echo capability, endoscopy and
separate cat and dog wards.
The team consists of 4-5 day vets, a very competent team of
RVN's, student nurses and support staff as well as a reception
team. There is a dedicated night team of vets, RVN's and support
staff.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years’ UK small animal practice (or UK equivalent) experience and be confident in their recommendations.
We collaborate between all the branches so you are supported whether sole charge or in one of the larger branches.
You must be pet and client-centric and have excellent communication skills, competent in spays and castrates.
