Runnymede Veterinary hospital have developed a new role and are looking for 2 Night Registered Veterinary Nurses. This is a flexible position of working a minimum of 3 nights a week. You can choose the nights you wish to work and the opportunity to work more than 3 nights is available.

This is a unique position as not only will be solely inpatient focused from 9pm, you also get the opportunity to sleep from 12am – 6am. We do expect an inpatient check to be carried out at 3am. Our dedicated OOH provider, VetsNow will take the phones from 9pm-8am. What your nightshift will look like: Starting at 8pm you will get a handover from the inpatient nurse From 8 pm- 11/12am inpatient care, setting up for the following day, finish any washing/ cleaning. As we used to do the nights ourselves we will endeavour to leave the practice as we would wish to find it. Depending on any emergencies that we see from closing till 9pm there might be a bit of tidying for you to do. You will have one of our vets on call for any inpatient emergencies or questions you might have.

We are a busy small animal veterinary hospital. We are a RCVS accredited cat friendly gold standard hospital. We want our nurses to nurse, we are always open to new ideas from team members to ensure we are providing the best possible care to our patients. Our RVNS are encouraged to grow their knowledge and expertise in areas that interest them. CPD is fully encouraged and funding is provided annually.

You must be registered with the RCVS. Experience with lone working would be desirable but not essential, full training will be provided. We would suggest coming in for a couple of day shifts to meet the team and see how we work!
