Veterinary Surgeon - East Neuk of Fife

We are looking for an experienced vet surgeon to join us from March/April on a temporary part-time basis to cover maternity leave for our colleague. This would be 2 days per week with 1 in 3 Saturday (which would form part of the 2-day working week).
 
Our practice is located in the beautiful East Neuk of Fife, a stone's throw from St. Andrews and within easy visiting distance of both Edinburgh and Glasgow. The area affords an excellent quality of life, benefiting from beautiful beaches and charming coastal villages, with huge potential for watersports, cycling and walking. The local schools are excellent. The practice benefits from being purpose-built, affording a very pleasant working environment with well-maintained facilities. We have well-equipped, spacious operating theatres and up to date imaging equipment, including dental radiography. We also have a sister referral orthopaedic practice on-site, with the opportunity to work closely with the orthopaedic vets on internally referred/orthopaedic patients. We are a supportive and friendly team of experienced vets, nurses and exceptional support staff, most of whom have been with the practice many years. We are looking forward to welcoming aboard an additional vet for our growing and thriving first opinion practice.
 
We are looking for a confident and friendly fully qualified veterinary surgeon with excellent communication skills who enjoys dealing with clients and patients alike. Surgical competency in routine first opinion soft tissue surgery is required, as well as the confidence to make decisions when working independently, as there will be some sole-charge work required for the role. Certificate holders or those working towards one would be desirable; CPD is well-funded and encouraged.
