As an independent small animal practice, we are accredited with the RCVS Tier 2 PSS. We are a friendly, inclusive team who love our work and the area we live in and our experienced directors have a genuine desire to support and mentor vets and nurses in developing their clinical skills. Offering a wide range of general practice treatment, and operating at a high clinical standard, our business constantly works to raise standards of veterinary care across the region of west Cornwall.

As a nurse training practice, developing and investing in our team is part of our ethos. Team meetings to discuss cases are held regularly. A close-knit practice, every member has the opportunity to enhance their skills and play a full part in fulfilling the vision and mission. We value being a local employer, part of our community and our role in supporting local and global charities.
The Role
The role includes the broad range of first opinion practice from consulting to surgery to lab work-ups; all consults are 15 minute appointments with double appointments for skin cases etc. No corporate targets or upselling pressure, the job is about offering excellent quality and service to our loyal and appreciative client base.

We require routine surgery and consulting skills, and an interest in medicine is desirable. The candidate will have excellent communication and people skills and enjoy the variety and diversity of small animal practice; they will share our belief that good veterinary care requires both a partnership with the owner alongside the clinical skills of the veterinary team. We aim for high standards of continuity of care, so being able to build a good rapport with the client is an essential skill as is the ability to support and collaborate with colleagues
