Head Registered Veterinary Nurse - Wiltshire

My clients are currently looking for a head veterinary nurse to join their team in Wiltshire.

As the head veterinary nurse, in addition to your clinical duties, you will be responsible for the day-to-day organisation of the nursing team. You will be able to inspire other team members to continue to maintain high levels of clinical care, whilst maintaining efficiency of the clinic’s work load through supportive management and leading-by-example.

You will be able to develop with all team members and clients. Working closely with the clinical director and practice manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining SOPs, organisation and attendance at clinical meetings, overseeing clinical coaches and to be able to problem solve and encourage the nursing team to continually improve to enable both the practice and individuals to progress.

The role is full time 40 hours per week with weekends shared on a rota basis.

Ideally you would have previous senior position experience but several years RVN experience would be considered. You must be able to lead the team by example, delegate where appropriate and be able to keep a calm head while under pressure and in stressful situations. The successful candidate will have a friendly caring nature along with good communication skills.
