What’s in it for you?
As a team we all enjoy working to a high welfare and clinical standard and a feeling that we are working for the benefit of the patient first and foremost. The Veterinary team is responsible for the health and welfare of all RSPCA owned animals presented to the Hospital.

  • A subsidised veterinary service for the public on low-incomes
  • The main bulk of work consists of 90% RSPCA generated animal work and 10% general public work.  Public clients are on means tested benefits and generally very appreciative of the service we provide

The nature of our work involves pragmatic decision making and the ability to take a logical and cost effective approach to clinical conditions.

Clinically the work focuses on consulting of Inspector generated animal welfare cases and members of the public. Diagnostics (radiography and both cardiac and abdominal ultrasonography), dentistry, neutering, emergency trauma, surgery, shelter and preventative medicine.
