Role: Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon
Location: Cardiff, South Wales
Hours: Full or Part Time, 40 hrs pw or Pro Rata
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

VetFinders are recruiting for our client in the vibrant city of Cardiff. The practice now has plans in place to expand, this means they are in the need of experienced Veterinary Surgeons. They are looking for someone to start in Jan/Feb 2021.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with an Award winning, independent and well-respected practice with an experienced team of specialists.
The Role:
There are consults and surgeries throughout the week, Monday – Friday. There will be some weekend cover in times of absence.
The rota is 5 days a week, 8.30am to 5.30pm with 2 nights pw on-call. No weekends. Rota availability will be discussed if part time.
Consulting & surgery skills will be assessed for responsibility and standard prior to being given any sole charger or on- calls
The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 2+ years’ experience, this is not essential, but preferred. A 3 months’ probation period with a review is required.
This role is not suitable for new grads unfortunately.
Benefits package:
20 days A/L + 8 bank holidays a year. (January - December)
CPD allowance - £1500 per annum
VDS Membership
RCVS Membership once registered
Pension scheme
Salary will be discussed depending on the candidate.
Current Government Covid 19 guidelines are in place.
Covid 19 PPE provided
Must haves:
- RCVS registered and qualified
- 2+ years, post grad, small Animal Experience
- Possess the right to work in the UK
- Excellent communication skills
- Be a great team player
