Job Details
We have a fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified or 1-year qualified veterinary surgeon to join our team. The successful candidate will be working closely with our team of experienced vets and will have a structured development plan in place as well as receiving ongoing mentorship from a designated, trained mentor.
The Practice
We provide gold standard care and a compassionate service, building personal, trusting relationships with our diverse range of clients. Our services include dentistry, endoscopy, gastroscopy, laser surgery and stud medicine. We also offer majority ambulatory services in much of the South East with stabling on site for horses and a fully equipped theatre for surgical procedures.
The Role
This role has been specifically developed to provide a new or recent graduate with a solid foundation in equine practice, with ongoing training opportunities to continue to develop your skill set and become an integrated member of our team.
Our experienced team of 9 dedicated equine veterinary surgeons have a range of interests in various equine disciplines. We also have a team of external consultants who specialize in orthopaedics, advanced dentistry, soft tissue surgery, ophthalmology and medicine.
Successful Candidate
You will be a newly qualified or 1-year qualified veterinary surgeon.

We are an RCVS accredited practice and we operate a full emergency service, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year provided by our own veterinary team. In the event of an emergency, please contact your normal surgery number and you will be directed to our emergency call centre who will contact our duty vet. Milbourn Equine Vets are also associated with Cinque Ports Vets who have small animal branches in Ashford, Hawkhurst, Lydd, Rye, Tenterden and Wye.
