Veterinary Surgeon - Full Time

My client in sunny Devon is looking for 2 permanent veterinary Surgeons to join their friendly team in their progressive modern practice.

They are a 100% small animal independent practice situated in a beautiful part of Devon, with easy access to Dartmoor, the coast and Exeter City. They are a growing practice with an additional branch surgery opened in Spring 2020. They have a lovely friendly team of vets, nurses, student nurses and receptionists who work well together. All the vets discuss cases regularly working well as a team but have plenty of clinical freedom and case continuity.  New graduates are considered and are well supported by their experienced vets.

My client is looking for a vet who wants to be a good general practitioner, who enjoys many aspects of veterinary medicine and surgery. They have an interesting and very varied case load meaning the right candidate will gain valuable experience, as you will get to see and do many exciting things. They pride themselves on building a lasting vet-pet-client relationship and will help their clients make the best choice available to them. They are strong believers in you will become a great diagnostician if you join their practice.

They do require their vets to work a 1 in 6 or 7 on call rota including weekends depending on how many vets are employed.  There are days off in lieu of weekends working ensuring you enjoy a good work life balance.

My clients ideal candidate would be someone who believes in their ethos of offering excellent veterinary care to everyone, irrespective of their means. They believe that every pet deserves veterinary care and that it can be achieved through good client communication and giving people choice.

• Full or part time
• £1000 CPD allowance including 5 days
• A good pension scheme
• RCVS membership plus membership to one other professional organisation such as BVA or BSAVA.
• 38 hours per week either on a 4 or 4 1/2 day week shift pattern
