Veterinary Clinical Director required at Fair City Vets, Perth, Perthshire

The Role

We are excited to announce the opening of an opportunity for an experienced and motived veterinary surgeon who is looking to take the next step in their career. Our clinical directors retain full autonomy over day-to-day decision making in practice, whilst having dedicated support teams within IVC Evidensia to call on as and when required. You will have responsibility for not only leading our wonderful team by example, but also developing the business (finance and budgetary management) and continuously improving clinical standards. Whilst some director roles can be admin-heavy, we are looking for someone passionate about their clinical work who is keen to teach and nurture the vets of the future. You will work alongside our amazing practice manager Keira, who is a virtuoso of all things administrative. The role comes with a tailored benefits package, including negotiable salary, welcome bonus, leadership training, relocation allowance and visa sponsorship if required.

About Us

Fair City Veterinary Group is the longest established practice in Perthshire with 100 years of history. We are located in historical Perth, close to the High Street and the train station. We have four friendly Vets passionate about their job, five lovely RVNs and fabulous reception team. We have two consulting rooms, one nurse room, separate cat and dog wards, operating theatre, prep room and in-house lab. We have exciting plans for this upcoming year, including the addition of an extra consult room and development of the main site facilities. Our branch practice, in the picturesque town of Auchterarder, has great upgrade potential, just waiting to be unleashed.

Applicant requirements

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic vet surgeon who is motivated, highly competent clinically, and has strong communication skills. The ideal candidate would be a 'people person' who takes a genuine interest in their work environment and is a real team player. Management experience is preferred, although applicants who can demonstrate strong leadership qualities will also be considered.
