Veterinary Surgeon, Full Time - Torquay

We are based on the busy bridge Retail Park in Torquay on the Devon coastline, with excellent transport links. Our great location means we benefit from a good variety of cases and a wonderful loyal client base. Our well-equipped surgery is purpose built to industry leading standards and you’ll get use of our digital x-ray, Dental x-ray, Multi-parameter capnography and ultrasound.

You will be joining our supportive team of 3 vets, 3 qualified nurses, 3 student nurses, and a large supportive non-clinical team. Our Partner AD Viljoin will have been practising as a vet for 18 years at the end of 2020, after spending the first 5 years of his career practising in his home country of South Africa.

Person Specification

Our ideal candidate will be a proactive Veterinary Surgeon with solid medical and surgical skills, and experience and confidence with consulting. Key to your success will be your ability to embrace all aspects of the role, delivering excellent patient and client care. You will be a strong team player and enjoy the variety the role will bring. If you are keen to develop within your own area of interest, we offer a generous CPD allowance and, for the right candidate, the opportunity to study for a certificate.

This role is full time, 40 hours a week, with a mix of early (0830 – 1630) and late shifts (1100 - 1930).

1 in 4 weekend rota – Saturday 0830 – 1400 (1400 – 1900 on call), Sunday just on call 0800 – 1900, with a day off in lieu for working the weekend.
