OUR PRACTICE 

Penrose Vets is an 11-vet independent small animal practice with an excellent local reputation. We work from a purpose-built surgery that has recently been extended to provide, among other things, a dedicated cat waiting area and consult room.

The post is based at our main surgery in Colchester. We also have a branch surgery just over the Suffolk border.

We are located on the northern edge of Colchester, just over an hour from central London and Cambridge, yet only 40 minutes from the beautiful Suffolk coast.

THE ROLE 

Our experienced, friendly, and supportive team of vets is supported by an excellent nursing team. We offer 15-minute consultations with a good mix of consults and surgery over the week.

Penrose Vets is a host practice for ‘Vets Now’ so our inpatients receive excellent care from them overnight and at weekends.

There is no out-of-hours commitment and our vets work a 4-day week and 3/10 Saturday mornings.

We offer full clinical freedom and CPD is funded and encouraged to certificate level. 

Our facilities include an in-house lab including blood gases /t4 /cortisol, digital x-ray, Doppler ultrasonography and class IV laser.

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE 

We are looking for an enthusiastic vet with UK experience and a natural flair and passion for interacting with clients.

Salary negotiable depending on experience.
