Veterinary Surgeon - Ashford
We are looking for a full time or part time Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and supportive hospital team in Ashford. You will enjoy sharing the challenges of a working day with your colleagues whilst managing your own varied caseload. Our rota includes a 4 day week with long weekends to compensate for weekend rotas and inpatient monitoring.
Barrow Hill is a purpose built hospital situated in the beautiful Garden of England, Ashford, Kent. We have been inspected by the RCVS and awarded its highest classification for a veterinary practice. We have state of the art equipment including digital x-ray, dental x-ray, orthopaedic equipment, k-laser unit, a CT scanner, colour Doppler to name but a few.
We perform regular laparoscopy and have visiting referral vets for ophthalmology, cardiology & orthopaedic surgery. We have a great supportive network of colleagues including include 10 vets, 13 RVNs, 3 student nurses and 7 receptionists, plus a dedicated night nurse team to look after our own inpatients whilst Vets Now, nearby in Ashford, attend to any overnight emergencies.
You must be a qualified Veterinary Surgeon, have a minimum of 1 years small animal clinical experience within the UK and the desire to study for a certificate in your chosen discipline. You should be confident with neutering, routine procedures and dentistry with a desire to take your clinical skills to the next level. You will be an excellent communicator, enjoy being part of an enthusiastic and dynamic team and be confident with 15 minute consultations.
