Job Details
Due to growth, we are currently looking for a full time RVN to join our main branch in Bebington. We pride ourselves on the fact that all three of our sites are training practices and we currently have 6 student veterinary nurses.
The Practice
Broadway Veterinary Surgery has been providing quality care to our clients and their pets for 40 years. We are a community based, dedicated small animal practice based on the Wirral.

Successful Candidate
To be successful in this role you will have a high level of nursing skills, be able to assist in procedures and manage your workload effectively. You will be required to work 37.5 hours per week to include 1 in 2 weekends and your shift pattern will be:
- Week A: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (30 hours)
- Week B: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday (45 hours)
- Every Wednesday off
- Weekday shifts are 10:15am – 6:45pm (1hour lunch)
- Weekend shifts are 9:15am – 5:45pm (1hour lunch)

Company
Broadway Veterinary Surgery was established over thirty years ago. We are an independent small animal practice based on the Wirral.
In the early days Broadway was a one-vet single-site practice operating from what is now our Bebington branch. Mr Maloney took over the practice in 1997 and the practice continued to grow steadily, opening additional branches in Wallasey in 2004 and Heswall in 2012. Nowadays the practice employs eight vets, with varying special interests from orthopaedics to soft tissue surgery and medicine.
In 2002 Broadway became a veterinary nurse training practice affiliated with Myerscough College in Preston. Student nurses work in the practice for a time before starting the two year specialist course, and many of them stay with us after they qualify. All three of our branch head nurses trained with us and have continued to develop their careers within the practice.
Our dedicated team works together to provide high quality and individual care to all of our clients and their pets. We offer a full array of modern diagnostic facilities including laboratory tests, x-rays, ultrasound, endoscopy, orthopaedic surgery, ECGs and blood pressure monitoring. We have hospitalisation facilities in the event that an animal needs to stay overnight.
All of our branches are open 8.30AM-6.30PM seven days a week for routine appointments and operations. In the event that your pet needs treatment outside of normal surgery hours, we provide a local emergency service for our registered clients.
