Head Nurse/Registered Veterinary Nurse - Croydon

Due to the continued success of Croydon Companion Care, Obi Amazu is looking for a Head Nurse or an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse looking to take the next step in their career!

Obi’s practice is based inside the busy Pets at Home store and offers free onsite parking. Croydon benefits from direct train links into London Bridge, London Victoria and London Kings Cross in just 15 minutes and the practice has easy access to the M25 and M23.

Croydon Companion Care is an established team comprising of 4 experienced Vets, 4 RVNs, 2 Student Nurses, 1 Veterinary Care Assistant, 4 Receptionists and a Practice Manager.

Obi’s practice is very well equipped and he and the team have onsite access to a range of state of the art equipment including digital X-ray, Doppler ultrasound, flexible bronchoscope, rigid rhinoscope and flexible video gastroscope, blood pressure machine and in-house catalyst machine for biochemistry.

Croydon sees a real variety of cases including soft tissue surgery and orthopaedics and the team love to work up cases to an extremely high standard. Approx. 40-50% of clients are insured and the practice offers a 0% finance plan for clients who are not.

Person Specification

This role would suit an experienced registered nurse looking for the next step in their career or a Head Nurse who is happy to lead by example and is very good at delegating and is looking to work with a positive and passionate team. You will be confident with all general nursing duties including the running of nurse clinics and ideally have experience of and enjoy coaching and mentoring student nurses. 

This is a Full Time role working 5 days per week and includes a weekend rota of 1 in 4 (both Saturday and Sunday).
