Veterinary Surgeon – West Yorkshire

My client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced veterinary surgeon to join their dedicated night team in a well equipped tier 3 hospital on an attractive 7 on, 14 off night rota.

Unlike some veterinary OOH positions, this practice is active throughout the night, offering an interesting case load, consults and ops throughout the night.The hospital is very well equipped with the vets' favourite toys including: digital x-ray, ultrasound, dental x-ray, Idexx lasercyte and catalyst DX, Endoscopy (Gastroscope, Rigidscope, Bronchoscope), whilst also providing supportive treatments including Platlet Regeneration Therapy and K-Laser.

You would be joining an established night team, where your work pattern comprises of one-week night rota (Monday to Sunday), followed by two weeks off. Annual leave is worked into the salary package and is expected to be taken within your windows of two weeks off. This ensures that they have the continuity of three, full-time night vets working in rotation at their practice providing gold-standard, quality care to their clients throughout the year. Each night shift you would be working with one of their 2 experienced, permanent night RVN’s as well as 2 VCA’s and evening receptionist.

They strongly encourage CPD and career development at their practice, with five of their vets currently studying for certificates in small animal medicine, dentistry & ECC.
