RVN – South Coast England (Near Portsmouth)

We are looking for dedicated, experienced Registered Veterinary Nurses to join our friendly, expert team. Excellent salary, various shifts required.  Referral experience is desired but not a must as full training will be provided.

The Practice
We are an independent, multidisciplinary referral practice on the South Coast.  Optivet are world leaders in Ophthalmology as well as providing specialist care in Internal Medicine, Orthopaedics, Soft Tissue and Outpatient CT. We pride ourselves in providing the highest level of specialist referral veterinary care, 7 days a week.

The team includes Specialists in Ophthalmology, Anaesthesia, Medicine and Orthopaedics Surgery, Residents, Interns and a full Nursing Support Team. The role and caseload is varied, providing every opportunity for personal growth. You will be required to rotate through Theatre, Wards, Medicine and Prep. Full training in all areas will be given. Previous theatre experience is essential.

The Role
You will need to be an RVN, an excellent communicator who is able to work using their own initiative to deliver quality care to our patients and clients. 

Duties will include: assisting the veterinary surgeons and clinical team with procedures, caring for the animals on wards, maintaining stock and cleaning surgical areas. You may need to operate a variety of medical machinery including monitors, anaesthetic machines, incubators and ultra sound machines.
