The role:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our busy first opinion branch in Lawley, with two other vets and support staff. Working alongside our Lead vet Charlie you will be responsible for promoting a high quality first opinion service.

Our practice has a very long-standing and friendly client base who appreciate the personal service we provide. The practice has a fully supportive team that enjoy lots of laughs and are dedicated to their clients and patients.

This practice works on a 4 day per week with 1:3 Saturday’s rota which gives you the balance to enjoy your home and personal life. Bank holidays are also on a rota basis across the region with time back in lieu for any time worked.

You must have a client-oriented approach and excellent communication skills, work to a very high standard both medically and surgically and have the drive and ambition to develop further.

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic team player and have a passion for delivering outstanding care to your patients, as well as a first-class service to your clients.

Salary & Benefits:
• Salary up to £55k depending on experience
• Medivet van or vehicle allowance
• £1,500 CPD allowance with 3 days CPD leave
• VDS, RCVS, BVA fees paid
• 5 weeks' annual leave plus bank holidays

Skills and experience:

You must be a veterinary surgeon registered with the RCVS.

The successful candidate will be a competent vet and have experience within a small animal practice.

Branch:

The practice is ideally situated close to the town centre and is well-equipped with digital x-ray, ultrasound and an in-house laboratory. Lawley practice works closely with our 24 Hour Hospital in Shrewsbury with access to a CT scanner and out of hours care.
