Surgical/Orthopaedic Veterinary Surgeon - West Yorkshire

Job Description

We are looking for a full time veterinary surgeon with a certificate in small animal surgery. The right candidate will be looking to expand the already excellent surgical facilities on site. We are looking for a confident surgeon who would also be happy to supervise others. The practice has a varied case load both orthopaedic and soft tissue and we would wish to manage more of the surgical cases in house than at present.

The role is based over 4 days per week with OOHs and weekends worked on a rota.

Annual salary based on experience £50,000 to £80,000 plus productivity bonus.

Holidays would be 5 weeks plus bank holidays.

CPD allowance, Pension, VDS/BVA membership paid.

The practice is one of the few independent veterinary surgeries in the area and has been a veterinary surgery in the heart of Halifax for nearly 200 years, with one main purpose built small animal site and 2 smaller branches. The practice also boasts an equine referral hospital nearby. Our main site is RCVS accredited and we are working towards hospital status at present. We carry out all our own emergency cover out of hours in order to offer our clients the best possible service and our surgery facilities include 24-hour nursing to enable overnight patient care.
