Veterinary Surgeon required for Oaks Veterinary Centre in Saltcoats - Welcome Bonus Offered!

The Role

We are looking for a confident Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to carry out a combination of ops/theatre work and consultations to a high standard. The role is based mainly in our Saltcoats surgery, but there will be occasional shifts in our Largs and Dundonald branches. We can offer full time (4 day) or part time options, with weekends on a rota basis. There are no OOH requirements with this role.

Days are very well organised, with plenty of time for admin and breaks from consults. Balance is very important to us and we want to ensure our staff have adequate downtime.

About Us

It’s a very exciting time to join our young enthusiastic team. Our two main sites have recently been refurbished and as we have vets completing certificates in surgery, medicine and advance practitioner with feline medicine, we will be looking to expand these service areas in the near future. Two nurses have recently completed feline nursing certificates and we are planning on becoming a FAB practice. We also have a nurse completing a nutrition certificate, so have expanded further in nurse weigh/nutrition clinics. We are very supportive of CPD, so if you have any specific interests you would like to explore, just let us know. We are a bonded, supportive team. We discuss changes and improvements as a team and everyone’s input is valued.

If that wasn’t enough, we are really lucky to have both seaside and rural areas beside each practice and we're only 40 minutes from Glasgow, so we are ideally situated to meet all lifestyle demands.

Applicant Requirements

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Vet who is motivated, experienced and has great communication skills. It is essential that you are a confident clinician with a willingness to continue to promote a high standard of clinical work and client/patient care. Working well in a team and supporting colleagues is extremely important. A relocation allowance of up to £5,000 is available and a welcome bonus offered.
