We are seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join our hospital in Dorchester.

Dorchester is a busy hospital, here you will be exposed to a varied caseload and your personal development will be actively encouraged and held in high regards. Our ideal candidate would have a medical bias, and we can support our colleagues in their desire to complete postgraduate qualifications, such as certificates.

This role works to a 4-day week with 1:3 half or 1:6 full weekends. It offers a package of up to £55,000 per annum depending on experience; this includes £6600 housing allowance, vehicle or £2500 allowance, £1500 CPD allowance plus 3-days CPD leave, RCVS, VDS and BVA membership.

Skills and experience:

We are looking for an medical bias experienced vet with a client-oriented approach and excellent communication skills that can work to a very high standard. You will provide high quality treatment to all hospitalised patients whilst maintaining good working relationships with our referring vets and have the drive and ambition to help develop this amazing practice further.

Dorchester is a beautiful Market Town close to Weymouth and less than a twenty-minute drive to the stunning Dorset coastline.

Our modern Hospital is well equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and has undergone an extensive refurbishment last year. You will be joining a flourishing, friendly and dedicated team, working alongside certificate holders in surgery, dermatology and diagnostic imaging. Our dedicated night team help us to provide 24/7 emergency cover and continuous care for our hospitalised patients.

Our vets work a four-day week and one in six weekends with five weeks of annual leave- leaving you with plenty of time to explore the beautiful Jurassic coast and quaint neighbouring towns and villages. We also offer a generous salary and CPD, vehicle & accommodation allowances.
