Job Details

Our fab vet Leonard has been lured away to our Acton practice, so we’re looking for a new lovely vet (or vets for a job-share!) to make their mark at our independent clinic situated in the leafy suburb of Harrow Weald in North -West London. We have a well-established and friendly team and the practice is very much part of the local community.

The practice is situated on a popular high street and is only 20 minutes into central London by fast mainline trains, the Overground and Bakerloo Tube line into central London and beyond. There is also a frequent direct bus service to Heathrow Airport. The M1 Motorway to the North is 15-minutes’ drive away. A large two/ three-bedroom flat split over two floors is also available with the role, making London living affordable.

We have a very happy working environment, as well as wonderful, bonded clients. We pride ourselves on the level of service we offer our and always work to the highest standards. The clinic is a training practice and you are fully supported by Daisy our experienced RVN, Chloe our VNA and Jacqui our fantastic receptionist.

We have all the usual toys in order to work your cases up to a high standard, including a shiny new dental x-ray.  The full-time rota includes every Thursday afternoon off and 1:2 Saturdays but we would also consider a job-share. There is no overnight work or on call. We would love you to support our hospital colleagues at our RCVS accredited tier 3 hospital in Northolt on a 1:8 Sunday day- time only rota. The Mandeville Hospital has great 24 hr facilities including CT, an excellent ultrasound, scopes, laparoscopic equipment and an array of specialists and provides a great environment to develop your ECC skills. The branch role is sole charge but is fully supported by the hospital team

We are looking for a clinician who can fit into our practice culture and values and just enjoy being a great GP. Are you a good communicator who fits well into a team? Would you relish helping to advance our standards of care? Are you able to build trusting relationships easily? Can you manage your time, prioritise well and do you enjoy getting the job done but also relish having a life outside of work?

The salary is in the region of £55k depending on experience and there is a generous £2000 CPD allowance. The Goddard Veterinary Group sees CPD as an investment in the individual, as well as for the practice, and is keen to support study for certificate qualifications. We have an excellent benefit package including increasing holiday allowance (up to 6 weeks!), BUPA private health insurance as well as cash back / refunds on many routine medical costs such as dental care, physiotherapy, optician, chiropody fees etc, 24hr Employee Assistance Programme, generous shopping/ leisure discounts, a cycle to work scheme and more!
