We are seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Medivet Clapham.

In this role, you will be involved in all aspects of nursing; previous experience working in a small animal practice is required. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of nursing duties as well as sharing best practice with the team and helping to support and develop the student nurses in your practice.

You will be working 40 hours per week with the standard 1 in 4 weekend shifts (TOIL) as well as a fair share of bank holiday and on call (if required) split across all nurses in the region.

£24,228 - £25,349 per annum (including London weighting) dependent on experience, £300 CPD allowance and in-house CPD available, ongoing training is provided as relevant to your role, RCVS and VDS fees paid, 25 days paid annual leave, exclusive company discounts and rewards.

Skills and experience:

  • Registered Veterinary Nurse as defined by RCVS
  • Previous small animal practice experience
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively
  • Proven empathy with patients and clients and demonstrates initiative in patient welfare


Medivet Clapham is a busy three Vet branch in Abbeville Village in the heart of Clapham.

All Vets have over 10 years' experience, Laura has a certificate in cardiology and Guy has a certificate in endosurgery.

This branch performs a high volume of procedures including endoscopy, cardiac scans and lap spays, equipped with endoscopes, ultrasound, laparoscopic stack system for keyhole surgery, full in house lab, ethylene oxide sterilisation and digital x-ray. We support the Fear Free concept so that our patients grow to love us, note fear us.

The nursing/support team is made up of Head Nurse, Student Nurse and two Client Care Assistants.

The branch is situated about 10 mins walk from both Clapham Common and Clapham South. There are also several nearby bus routes.
