Job Title: Small Animal Rotating Internships
Date Created: October 2020
Reports to: Head of The Internship Program

Develop your career with DWR and be part of something special!

DWR is a busy and expanding state-of-the-art, multi-disciplinary, small animal referral-only practice based near to Cambridge/Newmarket, UK.

With a large, varied and exciting Internal Medicine caseload, we are seeking five further colleagues to join our one-year Rotating Internship programme commencing 1st February 2021.

Successful applicants will be based at DWR, but will be offered the opportunity to enrol as postgraduate students at the University of Nottingham, enabling them to complete the School of Veterinary Medicine and Science’s post-graduate certificate programme. The programme is largely based on clinical training, but also includes a research project. Being part of the wider university provides access to a range of generic post-graduate training and excellent library facilities, including online journal access. Tuition fees and a stipend are awarded as part of the studentship and off-site accommodation is provided.

Applicants must hold a veterinary degree and be registered as members of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. Applicants must be eligible for UK higher education tuition fees. If your first language is not English, we will require evidence of your competence in English at the time of application in the form of an IELTS score of at least 7.5 (with no less than 7.0 in any element).

As you would expect from the UK’s largest private veterinary referral hospital, we offer an inspiring and friendly working environment. If you share our passion for delivering excellence, trust and care then we would love to hear from you.

For more information or to make an application please email your CV, covering letter outlining your suitability for the role, the names of 2 referees and, where required, evidence of English language requirements by clicking the apply button.

Informal enquiries also welcome.

The closing date for applications is Friday 30th October 2020 and we will require short-listed candidates to attend interviews during the week commencing 9th November 2020.

Company

DWR is a multidisciplinary small animal veterinary referral centre in Six Mile Bottom, close to Cambridge and Newmarket. It receives a high case load from first opinion practitioners and offers services in a  wide range of discipline, each led by Board-certified Specialists.

We are proud to have an outstanding team of highly qualified veterinarians, veterinary nurses, physiotherapists and support staff. Each one of them is completely dedicated to the comfort and wellbeing of all of our patients.

Our services are all headed by Specialist veterinary surgeons. Veterinary Specialists must be re-accredited every 5 years to prove that they have maintained their knowledge of, and activity within, their chosen speciality.
