Veterinary Surgeon - Worthing
Our independent small animal practice in Worthing, West Sussex is looking for another vet to join our great team.
We are ideally looking for a medicine biased vet to complement our 2 surgery certificate holders in the practice. The ideal candidate will already hold, or be studying for their medicine certificate, but would consider someone with a passion for practicing great medicine, and would fund certificate studies for the right candidate.
The owners work within the practice alongside the other vets so are available for help and guidance. We have a sensible diary set up with most consulting blocks being only 1.5 hours before having a break, as we understand that to do the job properly and have job satisfaction you need time to look things up, talk to owners, review lab results, and chat to colleagues about your cases. We encourage our vets to have input into our protocols, and are always interested in hearing new ideas on better ways to do things. We genuinely love being vets, and think that the setup and culture of our practice contribute massively to this.
The team are passionate about what they do, and strive to provide the best care for their patients. We are always open to investment in new equipment and training, and currently have facilities such as ultrasound, Idexx Catalyst, Procyte and Snaps, digital radiography, slit lamp, tonometer, capnography, laser and laparoscopy kit, in addition to our extensive orthopaedic and general surgical equipment. We have an excellent RVN:vet ratio, and our nurses are lovely and helpful as well as being very competent.
A 4-day week, one-in-3 Saturday mornings and no OOH will allow you to achieve a good work-life balance in this wonderful part of the South Coast, with Brighton and the South Downs in easy reach. Part time or flexible working may be considered for the right candidate.
