Registered Veterinary Nurse - Scottish Borders

We are looking for an enthusiastic RVN to join our team of 8 nurses to cover maternity leave.

The Practice
Greenside vets is a mixed animal first opinion practice with a specialised regenerative medicine and rehabilitation referral centre. All departments work together to provide excellent care for all patients from very small to very large!

Location
Greenside Vets is located in the lovely village of St Boswells in the beautiful Scottish Borders. It is an easy 45 minute drive to Edinburgh and 60 minutes to Newcastle. If you enjoy the outdoors, there is a lot of countryside to explore on your doorstep. There are many small towns and villages within short driving distance of St Boswells offering plenty accommodation opportunities.

The Role
The role we have available is to cover maternity leave in our small animal first opinion practice. There is the potential for the position to become permanent for the right candidate. The position is full time (40 hour week) with minimal OOH commitments (currently 1 in 7 weekends on call).  It will involve all general nursing duties on a rota with 6 other RVNs giving the opportunity for a varied working week. There is no requirement for large animal work but if interested in this area there may be the opportunity to get involved. You will also be able to work alongside the regenerative medicine and rehabilitation team with specialist diagnostics in our brand new purpose built facility.

Successful Candidate
The successful candidate will be friendly, confident and have lots of enthusiasm and willingness to learn. You must have excellent communication skills and be able to work as part of a team as well as be adaptable to work in different areas of the practice.
