Job Details

An exciting opportunity to join a growing 2-site, small animal practice in Newcastle in the North East has arisen! If you are looking to reduce your out-of-hours or weekend work, or looking for a practice that can support your interests up to certificate level, or maybe you're just looking for a change, then we would love to hear from you!

Due to continued expansion, this 4-vet, 5-nurse practice situated just a short drive from Newcastle city centre is looking for a confident and enthusiastic vet to join their friendly team. With modern and up-to-date facilities at your fingertips, as well as the support from an experienced and caring nursing team, you will be given freedom to manage your own cases from start to finish.

The practice is undergoing extensive investment and modernisation and the successful applicant would be encouraged to have their say in shaping the future of the practice. Part of a bigger network, the successful candidate will also be given the option to split their time 50/50 with a much bigger tier 3 RCVS accredited hospital with CT scanner and much more, making this role ideal for someone wanting exposure to a more varied case-load and experience working alongside experienced vets, many of which are certificate holders or specialists in their field.

The ideal person for this role will have a minimum of 1 years UK experience in small animal practice, be comfortable with routine small animal procedures and occasional sole charge work. In return, you will benefit from clinical freedom, with referral cases being kept within the group. You will also receive an excellent package which includes a competitive salary, generous holiday allowance and CPD budget as well as support and funding towards certificate study for the right person. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for career progression as you will be part of one of the fastest growing and well-regarded practices in the North East.
