The role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mobile Veterinary Surgeon to join us in our Staffordshire region. You will be covering four practices which are Newcastle under Lyme, Nantwich, Stoke-on-Trent and Rocester.
The four practices are all within close proximity to each other with a maximum distance of 25 minutes.
You will be working alongside Hannah who is our Clinical Director who overseas these practices and will support you fully.
This role is a first opinion caseload with routine surgery and consulting, there will be a varied caseload working between the practices working alongside supportive teams.
The ideal person will have at least 18 months UK experience in small animal practice, be a good communicator, flexible and a great team player. The role is full time working 39 hours per week over 4 days giving you a great work life balance with 1:3 Saturday's.
Salary & Benefits
Salary up to £55,000 dependent on experience
Accommodation allowance £5,400
Vehicle or vehicle allowance £2,500
CPD allowance £1,500 plus 3 days CPD leave
RCVS, VDS, BVA fees paid
5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays

Newcastle Under Lyme practice has a very long-standing and friendly client base who appreciate the personal service we provide. The practice has a fully supportive team that enjoy lots of laughs and are dedicated to their clients and patients. We have a well planned layout including a large reception area, two vet consulting rooms, a nurse consulting room, prep and theatre, digital x-ray and ultrasound, well equipped wards and lab facilities. Our team of three nurses, patient care assistants and two other vets will be happy to welcome you to their world and share their enthusiasm.
Stoke-on-trent
The practice is a short distance from Intu Potteries shopping centre which has 96+ stores and over 150 well-known brands, Cineworld cinema and over 20 delicious restaurants & bars. The Trentham Estate has landscaped Italian gardens and a forest with monkeys which is in walking distance from the practice. The beautiful Peak District is an hours drive away giving you the perfect opportunity to spend days out in lovely surroundings.
Nantwich
Medivet Nantwich has a large friendly team of 4 Vets, 3 registered nurses, 1 student nurse, 1 patient care assistant and 2 client care assistants. The practice has digital x-ray, In-house Idexx blood analyzers for haematology & biochemistry and Ultrasound. There is a varied case load including exotic species & orthopaedic surgery. There are separate cattery & kennel areas as well as an isolation unit. The practice has a comfortable rest room with a large TV and a steady supply of coffee and Yorkshire tea!
Practice facilities include digital x-ray, lab equipment, prep area and equipped theatre and CT scanner. You will be exposed to a varied and interesting case load in our clinic.
Rocester
Rocester is a beautiful and quaint village in East Staffordshire. It lies in the triangle of land between the River Churnet and the River Dove. In 1141 the St Mary’s Augustinian Abbey was built on the site now known as Abbey Fields and the practice was previously known as Abbey Fields Veterinary Centre.
