Registered Veterinary Nurse - West Sussex

My client currently seeks a dynamic registered veterinary nurse to join their well established team. Applicants should be experienced and have excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to work independently or as part of a team.

The position on offer is full time with a structured working week IRO 40 hours. They offer a starting salary of £21,500 - £24,000 dependent on experience with the statutory holiday allowances. In addition, the successful applicant will be expected to participate in the established second on call rota for practice nursing staff covering the rare event of staff illness in their OOH service. Nurses on this rota are rarely called in but if they are, they are paid for the additional shift worked and also have the following day off.

Specific duties will involve the routine surgery housekeeping of maintaining a clean clinical environment at all times, as well as a varied rota on ward, theatre or holding nursing clinics for minor problems [dressing changes, nail clips etc], but also obesity clinics and both feline and canine senior health clinics.

Applicants must be able to satisfy the current CPD requirements and be able to produce their records as required by the RVN scheme criteria and should also be able to give some indication of the planned CPD for the following 12 months at interview if requested.
