Job Details
Lab Services is a small, friendly diagnostic laboratory based in Watford.
We place a strong emphasis on client care and service quality; we are UKAS-accredited to the new 17025:2017 standard and provide diagnostic services in Clinical Pathology and Microbiology.
We are continually expanding and developing our diagnostic service; our new Molecular Biology service has recently commenced, several large refurbishment projects have recently completed and we are introducing a new LIMS system later this year.
As Clinical Pathologist you will be expected to contribute to the delivery of a timely diagnostic service, with an emphasis on cytology reporting. You will also be responsible for liasing with veterinary clients to provide advice on the appropriate diagnostic testing and assist with the interpretation of laboratory results. You will also ensure that you maintain high quality standards including in the contribution of regular case discussions.
You must be eligible to hold membership with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (MRCVS) and have a post graduate qualification in Veterinary Clinical Pathology (FRCPath, ECVCP or ACVP)
Strong service delivery experience
The successful candidate will be included in a rota pattern across Monday to Saturday, and will be expected to work 20-24 hours per week.
