Due to continued expansion in Blackpool Squires Gate Vets4Pets, we have a fantastic opportunity for an additional Veterinary Surgeon to join our outstanding practice!

You will be joining a strong and experienced team of 2 Vet Surgeons, a Senior Vet Nurse, Practice Manager, 2 RVNs, 2 SVNs, a VCA and a Client Care Advisor. We are also supported by nearby Lytham Vets4Pets, including Senior Vet Surgeon and JVP Andrew Harrison BVSc MRCVS. Andrew qualified from Liverpool University as a Bachelor of Veterinary Science with Distinction in 2005.

Our practice is built to industry-leading standards, and has state-of-the-art equipment, including digital radiography and ultrasonography, and we are in the process of upgrading our biochemistry and haematology suite. Additionally, we also have Capnography and V-Gel’s. We perform the majority of our first opinion Orthopaedic surgeries on-site with Dr Harrison willing to offer training and mentorship to the right candidate, if desired.

At Lytham Vets4Pets, we also have dental x-ray for aspiring dental surgeons wanting to upskill and improve their technique. We are flexible enough to enable secondment to enhance in these areas, if desirable to our candidate.

Person Specification
Ideally we are looking for someone with a level of proficiency surgically, but we are equally happy to support the right candidate via mentorship and CPD if needed. You will need to be a proactive veterinary surgeon with exceptional communication skills as well as being able to provide consultation services for our clients and their pets. We are able to consider applicants who are looking to work between 30-40 hours per week and a 1 in 3 weekend rota.
