Fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic veterinary nurse to help drive forward clinical care, teaching and research as part of the Small Animal Internal Medicine team.

We are seeking a motivated veterinary nurse with high standards and a passion to deliver high quality veterinary care.  You will work closely with the veterinary team to plan case care and liaise with other departments to facilitate our workflow.  It is anticipated that this will have a client-facing role and one of the attractions of the position will be the ability to follow cases and develop client relationships.

HFSA is a busy Teaching and Referral Hospital where we consistently deliver gold standard patient care whilst also teaching the next generation of Veterinary Surgeons and Veterinary Nurses.  A core value is advancing veterinary care via our clinical research programme, where you can play a key role.

The ideal candidate will have a track record of problem solving and will align with our core values of delivering world-leading clinical care alongside an outstanding student experience and transformative clinical research. We welcome all enthusiastic RVNs to apply and join our team. This post is graded as a UE05.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss the post further, please contact the head of small animal internal medicine, Adam Gow, 0131 650 6247 or email adam.gow@ed.ac.uk

By the time of his death in 1866, the 818 students he had taught were to be found throughout the world. Among them were the founders of veterinary schools in Glasgow, Liverpool, Ireland, Canada, the USA and Australia.
