Veterinary Surgeon - Buckinghamshire

My client is looking for a veterinary surgeon to join their team. They realise your pets are very much part of the family. They pride themselves on the qualified capability of their team to deliver comprehensive medical and surgical services for dogs, cats, children’s pets and exotic species.

They are a small animal practice with 6 nurses and 5 Receptionists.

 They like to work as many of their cases up in house, and they have a great client base with many insured clients to facilitate this.

They treat a lot of exotic pets, but the new candidate is not required to have any knowledge of these and will rarely have to treat them, as they have 2 vets at the practice with specialist interest. They have all the usual toys - digital x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, in house laboratory, compressed air dentistry and dental x-ray machine.

Our client has boarding kennels and cattery on site and a grooming parlour.

They are offering a 4 day working week with a weekend rota of 1:5 .

Saturday hours are 9am-5pm and Sunday 11am-4pm, with no out of hours. (They refer to Vets Now).

The remaining weekday shifts are either 9am-7pm or 9am-5pm alternately.

They would ideally prefer a candidate with at least 2 years’ experience, and good surgical skills are important.
