Looking for a full time Registered Veterinary Nurse. We are happy to employ new graduates as well as experienced nurses.

The Practice
Gordon Vets, purpose built 100% small animal practice with 3 branches on the outskirts of Edinburgh. Providing excellent client care with our main focus being our patients. We are a modern and progressive practice offering all areas of endoscopy including laparoscopic spays, digital x-ray, all lab facilities, 2 operating theatres with separate cattery and dog wards. We provide our own out of hours cover which gives us the opportunity to hospitalise and nurse our patients without the upheaval of transfer to another OOH provider. This is a service we think is important for our clients. We are also a nurse training practice and have an excellent reputation with College of Animal Welfare.

Location
Musselburgh is a seaside town located on the outskirts of Edinburgh.

The Role

• Patient care post op and hospitalised
• Out of hours cover and on call
• General anaesthesia and sedation preparation and monitoring
• Surgical prep of operation rooms and patients
• Laboratory duties
• Infection control
• Care and maintenance of equipment
• Radiography and ultrasonography duties
• Minimal reception duties
• Help Veterinary Surgeons in day to day tasks
• Out-of-hours cover 1 weekend in 6 and 1 night every other week
• Holiday cover at branch surgeries when required.

• Patients care paramount and must be to an excellent standard

• Keep current with CPD therefore nursing skills
• Work well within a small friendly nursing team
