Job Details
We are looking for an enthusiastic vet to join our pig team; delivering pig herd health advice to our clients; with indoor and outdoor herds.
The practice:
Oakwood Veterinary Group is a mixed practice, in South Norfolk, located in the Waveney Valley, 30 minutes from Norwich and only 90 min train journey to London.
The role:
We would be happy to consider less than full-time hours with flexible working being practical for pig vet schedules. We are keen to support career development in a rewarding area of medicine; one that safeguards the health of valuable herds.
Successful candidate:
Some pig experience is preferable, but we are open to new graduates or surgeons looking for a change in career.
The package:
We are considering a varied experience and salary range; pig practice can be very competitive financially.
Location:
Harleston Norfolk – set in lovely countryside – with Norwich; 20 miles away, being one of Britain’s best loved cities.

Since moving to Oakwood House in the early 1990’s our small animal clinic has continued to evolve with the changing trends and modern developments in veterinary medicine, whilst still maintaining a personal service for all our clients. Continuity of care is as important to us as it is to our patients, and we will make every effort for you to see the same vet at each visit if at all possible.
We provide our own out-of-hours cover to ensure you will always be attended by a veterinary surgeon from this practice at this practice. Our ethos is to treat our patients as we would want our own pets treated and we consider that providing our own emergency service helps us in achieving this level of both patient and customer care.
