ECC RVN Team Leader Required
Due to a sabbatical, our MiNight Vet service we are looking for a registered veterinary nurse to join the out of hours team as a Team Leader. Working a combination of weekends and twilight shifts, fulltime, on a 12 month contract. You will be assisting with the out of hours patients alongside vets and other nurses.
Responsibilities include:-
- Leading a team of Nurses and Veterinary Care Assistants
- Assisting with surgical and medical procedures
- Inpatient care
- Anaesthesia,
- Client care and communication,
- Triaging and dealing with emergencies.
You will be responsible for a dedicated team of ECC nurses, and work to promote high standards bridging the gap between days and nights. Post qualification experience is essential and an interest in emergency and critical care would be desirable. We are looking for an effective and fair leader and someone who is friendly and efficient with a great work ethic.

The hospital is staffed 24 hours per day by a truly superb team of qualified veterinary surgeons, nurses and support staff, all committed and able to offer the best possible level of care to our patients. Our anaesthesia services are led by a European specialist veterinary anaesthetist.
Emergency Out-of-Hours care is also another service we provide here at Chestergates.
In addition, we offer a number of screeening tests for various health problems, which include deafness and syringomyelia. This is of great help for breeders, committed pet owners and veterinary surgeons in practice.
