We are seeking a motivated Lead Veterinary Surgeon to lead our friendly practice. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years’ UK small animal practice (or UK equivalent) experience, highly competent both medically and surgically; a certificate holder in surgery would be an advantage. Ideally you will have some experience leading a small team or have a willingness to gain that experience with some close mentoring in leadership and branch management.

Merthyr is the main town in Merthyr Tydfil County Borough, close to the Brecon Beacons and set in beautiful countryside with plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy in the area. Our busy main practice is part of a group with 3 other clinics, Mountain Ash, Ystradgynlais and Treharris. We offer state-of-the-art equipment such as ultrasound facilities including cardiac probes, endoscopy, orthopaedic equipment and much more. This is a great opportunity to work in a busy practice with a varied caseload including advanced surgery and medicine. You will work alongside a friendly team of five knowledgeable vets and an amazing support team with experienced RVN’s.
